Looking at getting a RAT

Meh, it's not that big a deal. Just carry it naked when you go on trips to take deer, and wrap it later. As far as EDCs go, you just need the right gear for the mission. Personally, my favorite EDC is a CRKT M16-14SFZ. It's just nifty. But if you're free to carry what you want, bigger is better. :P Whatever works for you.
 
Personally I like the RC-3p. The Izula is a great little necker, and a terrific EDC, cuts great, takes abuse well. I just happen to perfer the scales on the RC-3 if I am planning on doing a lot of cutting, it's a comfort thing.

I think you should each of the RC blades, then pick the one you like the best for skinnin' then send the others to me. :D
 
good thread, I think I'll get the IZULA for carry and an RC-4 for hunting/camping/skinning duties.
 
How are you guys pocket carrying your Izula's? Front or back pockets? It's got a 6" OAL right?

seems most of us just drop it in RFP, i added a clip off a cheap tape measure to my sheath. the izula is more comfortable than most folding knives i've carried.
 
If you add a clip, you could also go IWB.
Hmmm something to think about.
 
well i guess i am gunna have to wait and think about it cause i just spent all my extra money on a new limsaver DZ-32 bow for deer season, but i guess i gotta kill them before i have to gut them
sad thing is if i dont get a new knife by then i wil end up gutting the deer using my sebenza or some other knife not meant for the job
