japan is an island. they use VG10 for most of their quality cutlery, i doubt this would be the case if the steel doesn't hold up near salt water. you should be fine regarding corrosion. usually VG10 spydies have a nice polish on the blade, it helps a lot in this respect too. it also is fairly tough and "ductile" the edge willd roll more than it chips wich is way easier to fix.
imho the saber ground endura is a wonderfull all purpose blade. not a great slicer compared to a FFG blade but a very tough, light for its size, with great ergos.
it's in your price range, the design and ergos fits you ... it's a no brainer for me.
i also live at 200m from the sea, never had a blade rust on me just because of this. i had rust on my work folders from sweat even when i worked far from the sea (i mean 100km away) but not because of marine air.
