Recommendation? Looking for a “gentleman’s folder”

For your criteria, your within a hairs breath / Starbucks of having Rogue Bladeworks build you a Benchmade 535 Bugout with one of three versions (smooth, embossed, wavy) of their Carbon fiber scales. I bought both here, and assembled to my delight. I mean I 'm shaking my head at the whole because of the parts. Have a Boker Urban Trapper Petite Titanium on the way because 1.1oz. I used to keep a Swiss Army Knife Secretary (that 's the name of the model;)) in my desk drawer at work and it fit the bill perfectly. Not big and certainly not fancy, but effective. Anyone will tell you that SAK's are about as non-threatening as a knife can get.

I couldn't help but notice that some of the knives displayed in this thread are nice looking and would qualify as a "gentleman's folder", but the blade shapes on some of them are pretty tactical looking and would raise a few eyebrows for sure- something to think about. I was bringing a Boker Lancer to work for a while and between its profile, the blade shape and especially the stone wash finish on the blade, no one ever gave it a glance (other than a few "nice knife" comments) whenever I took it out.

Oh, the other Maserin recommendation reminded me of their Starlight model, that I'd completely forgotten about.

It's 3in bladed front flipper (2 7/8in cutting edge), and it is available in carbon fiber, and looks pretty classy. It's also incredibly lightweight (1.72oz). The steel isn't anything fancy though. Just Aus-8.

If that Maserin knife was tip up I would 100% own one.

I have been folowing this discussion as I am very intetestrd in this style for my next purchase and I thank all the contributors.
I have decided the two finalists are the Benchmade Megumi and the CRK Mnandi.
For me, these exude class and style. Also liked the A G Russell Lightin' Bug but they will not accept PayPal so deal breaker.
Was looking for US made anyhow.
