Looking for a .308 Tactical rifle

My personal favorite is the Remington 700 LTR. Nice full-bed short 20" fluted bull barrell kepps it light enough to shoot off hand (it's a bit heavy, but perfectly balanced so that it just settles into your shoulder), but you have an extra swivel up front for a bipod, if you want it. Tack driver!

If you want a semi-auto, ya gotta go with an M1A (wish I had one).

x2 on the LTR (light tactical rifle)

awesome rifle for either hunting or target shooting.

here's mine

I've had an AR10T for over a decade and it is very accurate. However, it is not ideal for hunting, except from a fixed ambush position. When I've spot-and-stalk hunted with a semi-auto .308 it has been a Springfield Armory M1A, "loaded" package rifle.

Same with the LTR.. tried to stalk with it once.. sucked ass pretty quick.. I like it for stationary hunting in a stand, etc.

I have shot through several walking (running) assault courses with my FN/FAL. While it is heavier than some others it is very accurate and easy to shot. Also a big thumbs up for reliabilty.
