Wondering if any Busse models meet these requirements, please bear with me as I know less than nothing about the different Busse models.
5-6 blade
3/16 inch thick INFI steel
comfortable handle for smaller hands
Micarta handles

Basicly an RMD made out of INFI

Thanks in advance guys

I just posted yesterday over on the Swamp Rat site about how sweet an INFI RMD would be. I was thinking FFG, thin, with a Res-C handle. Or perhaps offered in anorexic and magnum like the Basic 4.

Nothing wrong with the RMD.

I agree but I dont think the SR-101 would be that much better than my 1095 knives that and I am really wanting to try an INFI blade out.

Id prefer it stay with the slight saber grind but convex the edge and toss INFI on it, and deffently keep the micarta handles.

BATAC is a nice choice that is in your general size range.

Like I said I have no idea about the models what does that stand for?

BATAC means this

I LOVE my RMD's, but will say if they made it in Infi, i'd buy it in a heart beat, want to try out Infi steel also, but cant bring myself to drop that kind of cash with a new baby and building a house, plus the things I've put my RMD through, I really cant justify needing another knife of that type. But......

Along with whats mention above, SJTAC CG, SJTAC Embrace the Suck, Tank Buster (non CG or LE), ARK, ZTNO, ZTSJ (if you can find the last three) would also meet the requirements.

The Hell Razor and Mud Razor are an inch longer but has 3/16 thickness.

Anyone say Boss Jack yet?

The smaller hands criteria put the Boss Jack right in the running, the handle feels very small in my hands.

I thought the Boss Jack's were 1/4" thick?

BJ CG is .22", LE is a little under 3/16ths if I remember correctly -- .18" maybe.

Don't get me wrong, you should definitely get some INFI, but you should definitely not rule out the RMD or even better, the RMD LE. SR-101 offers many advantages over 1095. The Busse Heat Treatment is unparalleled.

Small Hands and 5-6" thINFI pretty much narrows it down to either Boss Jack LE (can occasionally be found cheaper with a coating at shows or ganzas)

or Pork Shank.

The rest are good, but not great for small hands. Medium or larger hands do very well with all of the other larger handled designs.

Oh and there is no reason to not try SR101 over 1095, the Ratmandu (left in pic) is a very good choice with an amazing handle for what you are seeking and lower cost as well.

BATAC, SAR5, HG55, TB & BJ range from correct me if I'm wrong here there in my toy box so guessing. 5.25" to 6.3". Only thing is if .1875" is your thickness then you have no choice but the BATAC or SAR5.
As stated above for the MONEY and QUALITY you CAN NOT BEAT the RMD!!!

I agree with leatherman on the Boss Jack. Longer blade but not as wide and smaller handles than the RMD.

The BATAC is the closest you will get with slabs

The Skinny ASH1, ZTNOe, BOSS Jack LE, and SJTAC are 3/16 x 6. profile comparison: I don't have pics of my ZTNOe or BOSS Jack LE but their thinker brothers are standing in
