Looking for a Busse

Yeah, somehow forgot about the Shanks. Great feeling knives. Most of them available at the moment are G-10, but there are some tan canvas ones floating around.

.158" thick, blade length is a touch under 5" and the handle is a touch under 5"

I don't have pics of my ZTNOe ....

I'll fill in for ya... :)

The Fourth one up from the Bottom is the one to get excited about.

The ZTNO marked SH From the Factory, the only one that did not make it back and get re-engraved that I know of, From the First Batch of ZT's that got sent out From the Factory.

That Knife has a "History"

AZTimT nailed it with the boss jacks and shanks. I know a lot of people love the Batac, but I couldnt recommend it. I sold mine shortly after receiving it; IMO there's just not a lot of cutting edge considering the size... YMMV. Good luck with your search!

That knife is nice as well. I was initially torn between that one and the 2nd from bnottom on sheer looks. Second from the bottom won out for me.

As for the topic at hand I am relatively new to Busses myself. This might help looking for what you want:

http://www.bussecollector.com/catalog/

Once you see somthing you lioke you can always come here armed with some basic info on knives that interest you and peeps here more knowledgable than myself can give you the particulars on whatever knives interest you.

One that I believe fits your criteria and I love the looks of is the HG55 CG and LE versions.

Arg nm the HG55 is a 1/4 incher.

This one here fits the bill but dont think I have seen any up on the exchange:

Northwest Baby SAR 5 INFI 5" 10" 3/16" (.1875) $167 micarta, $187 G10 5 combos offered, all with either black or green coat. 2008

The Skinny ASH1, ZTNOe, BOSS Jack LE, and SJTAC are 3/16 x 6. profile comparison: I don't have pics of my ZTNOe or BOSS Jack LE but their thinker brothers are standing in

Such a cool image. It's amazing to me to see that the NOE is the same rough length as the BOSS jack, yet the boss jack has more edge. I always through of the NOE as a much larger knife. It highlights all the reasons I like the BOSS jack, one of the most compact utilitarian designs busse has created thus far.
