Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Looking at them all but so far I have concluded:

Ripple: NO
Leek: no
Shoki: no
Shallot: I like it but not what I'm looking for
Crown: no
Sequel/Kulgera/torrent: no

So far the cf/g10 Daghetta is still in the lead.

Actually the more I look at the Daghetta I'm starting to like it too - especially since it is a lockback.
