Something small and light that I can clip between the buttons on a polo shirt, where I normally clip a pen.

I normally clip a full size metal pen there, but I am looking for a micro blade tanto that I can clip.
Under 2" blade and around 3.5" total length.

I can make one for you. Something like this?

Something like this, but with a side clip.

I apologize for getting off topic. But that is one "sharp" a@@ blade charlie mike.

Why tanto? Seems to me that a tanto blade that short is a contradiction of terms.

You have me curious. Not trying cause problems or anything.

No worries, I am not wearing my sensitive pants.
I am looking for something that is quite obviously a tool and less obviously a weapon.
Plus, I like the looks of a tanto.

You're wanting a tanto because it looks LESS like a weapon? Thats typically the opposite way that goes.

What price range are you looking at roughly? A tanto mini griptilian meets what you're looking for and is a darn handy knife.

Edit: Its over the 2" blade length, but closed length is about right. You're going to have a hard time with that 2" blade length, the tanto tip doesn't leave much usable edge when they're that short.

It's not a tanto, and it's just a tad over 3.5 overall (3.75"), but the Boker Keycom has a 1.5" blade and it does have a clip.

Then there's the SOG Micron tanto, but it doesn't have a clip.

Only thing I can think of that meets most of the requirements is a Microtech UTX-70.

No, the Boker that Moondrop suggested looks quite well

The reason that I ask is this, Gerber makes a small utility knife called the Gerber EAB. It meets all of your requirements except the tanto blade. Small, thin, and pocket clip. Takes up no room in a pants pocket. Also ugly. Very, very ugly.

Yep, it's just a mini razor blade utility knife. Personally I think that Lowes' Kobalt version looks better.

I could always regrind any of the knives listed into a tanto.

The Boker Plus Urban Survival is a thin pen-like blade. It used to come with both a glass breaker and a pen clicker end piece. Don't know if it still includes both. I'm not sure I would want anything bigger clipped inside a polo. But I think it was designed for exactly what the OP described. And comes in Camo, in case you want it to disappear on your shirt. ;) Below is the description from the Manufacturers site....

"Our popular Urban Survival mobel by Jim Wagner gets a new look! With an overall length of 5 3/4" and a blade length of 1 5/8", the Urban Survival Camo offers the ultimate in carrying comfort with its compact dimensions. The sleek construction and 440C stainless steel, scalpel-like blade offer optimum control. Durable aluminum handle, now with a camo finish. Includes pocket clip, blade lifter, and interchangeable glass breaker and false writing pen tip. Weight: 1.5 oz."

Doh! One more thing. In searching around, I also found a new LE version that also includes a built-in handcuff key. Now I want one too. :)

How about the Buck Bones 869? Its really small, has a pocket clip, and even tiny thumb studs! 420HC blade is sharp enough for any task and small enough to not look like a weapon snd not bulge up ur pockets :D

Pro-Tech runt or J4 if you can do an automatic. Ill think of manuals but those are the ones off the top of my head.
