I have designed a knife that I would like produced from very specific specs. I am interested in probably 3 at first and them possible more if I can sell them to the guys in my unit. I have had a few prototypes made to check the ergos of the handle and I think I have a winner. Now I just need a reputable custom knife maker who I can talk to about getting it made to my specs. Can anyone help? Thank you for your replies.

Jeremy, is it stock removal or forged? What type of steel? Makes a difference in the maker being suggested. For a carbon blade probably fastest turn around might be Atakach... JT does good stuff too.

I'd say stock removal. I'd prefer 5160 or 1095 bar stock- I had a lady cut mine out with a water jet and it was perfect. The only thing it needed was the grinds done for the edge. Thanks for the replies, I like what I see on his page and I like the materials he uses.

Send me an e-mail or private message if you still need a maker, and i'd possibly be interested in the job.

If you post the kind of knife you're looking for you might get more interest. That being said, many custom makers won't work from strict specifics of another's design.

I could possibly squeeze you in. I am a little backed up right now with knife orders but might be able to work something out. When you say "very specific specs" how very specific do you mean.
