Looking for a D2 Blade

Damn you Danbo :) You get to go play @ the Tulsa show & I get to work...
(Bring home some nice toys!)
cheers,
Mike

Guyon,
I'd just like to make this observation about D-2...having sharpened all kinds of knives/steels over many years, D-2 is one of the best fpr taking a really, really sharp and aggresive edge and it holds it too!

How about a Lum designed Encounter by Seki Cut. For those that don't know Seki Cut are several Japanese companies that make knives for well known companies like Spyderco and Al Mar. They decided to make some under their own banner. The Lum designed Encounter sports a 4" blade of D2 and several handle options.

Dennis, that's a right nice looking blade. Where would you find one of those?

Check out the new Queen Cutlery knives in D-2 but be prepared to sharpen the blade yourself. I've had five of the new knives come through the shop and not one would shave hair. The feedback after sharpening was very possitive. One other thing is if you get one of the fixed blades I would suggest the Premium HUNTERS because of the ergonomics that will fit most hands. The #98 Shinners have very small handles. It fit my wife's hand but I could only get 3 fingers between the guard and the pomel. Good luck.:)

I agree 100% with speedrck's last post.
I also forgot to mention the most excellent Benchmade 806 which has a permanent home in my front left pocket. Can't believe I forgot that.:o
Also before I forget:
DOZIER ROCKS!!! the man is the undisputed "Dean Of D-2".

Hello,

He's an American working in Berlin, Germany, with a good range of custom fixed blades, and a new folder. He'll make you a new D2 blade for around $250. Great value for money!, and great looking too!
