I'm just hoping you're not just babbling, and you enthusiasm is well warranted.

I placed my order today, they'll ship tommorrow and I should have it by midweek, next week. I ended up getting the Li-Ion battery and charger, because it seemed that in the long run I would save money on batteries. I also ordered a 64MB Kingston CF card (there's a $25 rebate on it

david,your exactly right.the "morning news" hee in springdale has a few of the D1's.the body/lens combo they use at football games costs around 9,000 dollars.i actually got to look at one of 'em.SWEEEEEEEET camera,one of the guys i talk to said he will never shoot film again.i wish i had 9,000 dollars......
