Looking for a folding knife

Hi, I am looking for a folding knife with the following characteristics:

1) It is not prohibited in Canada, i.e. cannot be opened with one hand in any way (centrifugal, spring, spring assisted, etc.), even on initial phase. It should be impossible to open it with one hand.
2) As easy and fast to open with two hands as possible, preferably possible to open it without looking at it
3) Non-serrated edge (for some reason, judges in Canada sometimes decide that such knifes are automatically weapons, and not tools)
4) The length of the knife in the folded state 4-5 inches (10-12.5cm)
5) Pocket or deep pocket clip

I just realized after research that my SOG Trident with Assisted Opening that I bought in 2021 is actually prohibited since 2018 and automatically categorized as a weapon, not a tool.

Thanks!

There are a few Buck 110 models you should look at, any of the nail nick models without thumb studs. Only the 100 Slim Pro Nail Notch has a clip, though.
Thanks, but it does not have a clip + the blade is protruding so much that I can probably open it with one hand by pushing it away with the thumb and the index finger, and then open by centrifugal force

The length of the knife is 4-5 inches or the length of the blade is 4-5 inches?

Right, it's not clear from my post. I meant the length of the knife in the folded state. I will change the original post to reflect that.

That literally rules out 99% of all folding knives. This thread will devolve into an interpretation of Canadian knife laws.

The only think I can think of is a big slip joint with a barely protruding nail nick. Good luck.

Unfortunately, you are right that most of the knives are out of the limits.
However, it's not 99%.
For example, there are lots of Victorinox knives that cannot be opened with one hand in any way, like this one https://www.victorinox.com/ca/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Large-Pocket-Knives/Sentinel/p/0.8413.3
The thing is that I am looking for something beefier.

Get a buck 110 or something with one of those flash knife opening sheaths.

Buy something you like with a thumb stud and then remove the stud? 🤷🏻‍♂️

You will probably have to give up the clip requirement to get a large knife in the 4/5 inch range.

A single or double blade Great Eastern Cutlery 73, GEC 97, and the Case 6265 meet all your other requirements (but steel will be 1095 carbon). I also agree the Buck 110 or 112 are solid choices.

North Arm Skaha 2.
Made and sold in Canada.
By Canadians for Canadians (and anyone else), and perfectly legal. See their website for an explanation of legality and to get on the waiting list.

Does putting an aftermarket clip on a knife need much skill?
It depends on the knife, for some of them it's trivial, but for some of them it would require some complex manipulations. In any case, I would consider non-clip knives for sure as there is not much to choose from.

Yeah it is a tough ask. Having a hunt now. Opinel do a shove on the end pocket clip.

And mabye dremel a big finger grab spot in the handle?

Plenty of local shops in Canada that are selling flippers, button locks, etc.

The law has to do with importing. See:

Notification of Canadian International Trade Tribunal Decision on Centrifugal Opening Knives
Customs Notice 18-01
