Hey guys ,

Im a Leo and looking for good knife all around for work at as a cop. I have numerous knifes (spyderco, benchmade , Emerson etc) . I like quality items . Looking for something with a frame lock, half serrated and window punch .

Thanks

I think DPX Gear makes a frame lock available with a partially serrated edge and window breaker.

Kershaw Blur comes in a model with a half serrated svandik blade + a carbide glass break... Its not a frame lock but it is a riveted inset liner lock.

I personally liked my (svandik) blur so much, I just ordered 2 more in s30v & Elmax; due to arrive this week.
It really is a great knife, big enough blade but not too big, sleak and not bulky at all, good grip, kershaws assisted blade snaps right open, I'd highly recommend it for what you're looking for... There's a YouTube video stress testing that specific model if you want to see it in action

My Fox Knives FX-214 E.R.T. Rescue Knife was about $110.

Nice thick blade with safe rounded tip. The glow in dark material is also on the top of the handle. It flips great unlike any other Fox I've had. The flipper is also a flat head screw drive and on the opposite a Phillips. Also a bottle opener and nice pointy carbide glass breaker. Very smooth. The blade is so thick that it makes for a great prybar. Very well and solidly built. The holster/sheath is really a great bonus with with both Tek-Lock and Molle-Lock!

It weighs 5.81 ounces. The N690 stainless steel blade is 3.1" long and 0.195" thick. The handle is 4.86" long (included the round glow rubber). All steel used is stainless.

Cops want all of the good stuff, like pry bars, but love really light stuff as they are already loaded down.

I bought one cop a SKD 360, specially designed for LEO's. Also a military Spydie, waved Spydie Endura, and a BM 710 in d2.
All nice.
I think the next one will be the new Spydie ARK.

Is there some reason you won't consider a Spyderco Assist? It's got 3.7" of VG-10, mostly serrated, bright orange handle, and a retractable carbide window breaker. It's a back lock, but I don't find that to be a problem.

No I like back locks too. I didn't realize spydies had something with a window break . I'll have to check it out

You really want to impress, Lionsteel makes a couple different options with a few diffetent blade steel/handle options that also have glass breaks; one is even called the "police lock back"... Now who else on the force is carrying a Lionsteel in their pocket?

I used to carry a BM Triage. Lost it while crawling around a burning house. I now carry a Gerber Hinderer-Design rescue tool. As a beater knife it does the job just as well. I do, however, carry at least one other knife with me at work for any detail cutting needed (not usually at an emergency scene). You can get it in black, with a half serrated blade. Looks more tactical, and maybe more suited to an LEO.

Here's my typical work carry:
