Looking for a Good CB radio

I am real happy with my Uniden PC 68 for a regular non export CB, even one that is peaked and tuned won't break the bank either. Chris

In my pickup, a Cobra Classic 129LTD, purchased in 1987. You can get one now on special for less than 100.00. The Uniden that running mentioned is also a good unit. Lastly, if cost is the biggest factor, a RadioShack TR-423 is a great unit, real small, has a good kick. (the one I have constantly gets the famous "TURN THAT THING DOWN" but it doesnt have a mike gain. lol) I use that one in the Big Truck, as I slipseat and it is easy to change from truck to truck. It doesnt have bells and whistles, but as I said, it is a good unit.
hope this helps,
Ulster

I also had a PC 68 and it was a great little unit for the small size. Back when I used them the Cobra 148 was one of the best, and I still have it.. Now I have a couple of RCI 100's.

A few years back all CB radios were cut back to 2 watts..rather than the usual 4 that they put out for years. If you are looking to listen pick one up at a local retailer..if you want to broadcast to the world find radio shop that does their own repair work. have a good day
