Looking for a good custom tactical/fighter

Try TOPS. They are not custom, but very tough. I have a Scalpel by them that is about 6-7 inches, but the blade is still 1/4" thick. And there are about 100 to choose from. I really like them, and for even the nicest ones shouldn't cost you more than $200, if that.
 
also check out ranger knives ive heard they are very tough knives and reasonably priced
and ek commando knife co ive heard great thing about them im not sure about this but i think they offer discounts to military also check out gossman knives scott has a subforum on here and his knives always get great reviews cant wait to get one of his blades . all the recommendations are good cant go wrong with any of them (imo.).
 
There seem to be a lot of good Busse knives available right now in the "for sale, Busse scrapyard swamprat" section; some of them in the 250 to 350 range, if that's in your budget. If you get a slightly used Busse you won't pay much, if any, more than the original price, maybe even less; that's how I got mine! They are really good knives and who cares if they have a scratch or two... Of course these other suggestions are good too, I guess it mostly depends on personal preference in the end.
