Looking for a good first neck knife...

I too am a Jeremy Horton fan.
I have 2 of his neckers.

I wrapped the paracord on that one.
I edc that knife every day for work.
Use it for everything...no problems.
Here is a shot making 2x2's from 2x4's

I also have this blade. It is a tough piece of steel no doubt,as the picture above shows, and it will do that all day long.

Complete truth. I've handled an Izula, and I thought it was solid. I think you would be happy with either one.

The Izula makes a great camp knife. It's sturdy as heck, I've batoned the crap out of it, no problems. Man, those Horton neckers do look sweet though

Boker Neck Flash for $13.06 is a steal!!!

Came very sharp! Same size as the Izula for a lot less. Same blade length and OAL.
If you can't afford a Izula, check out the Neck Flash!

Sorry, I don't have any pics (no camera). As for price, you can find the Izula on many sites for around $50 for the knife and sheath, maybe $70 or $80 for the kit. I would recommend both Knives Ship Free (www.knivesshipfree.com), or Chestnut Ridge Knife Shop (www.ridgeknifeshop.com). Both have competitive prices, and great customer service. Though I have not had a need to take advantage of RAT's warranty yet, I can assure you they will back it up 100%. If you visit the RAT Cutlery forum under the manufacturer's forums, they have a sticky there concerning the warranty. I hope this was helpful, and good luck with your knife search!

I'm currently using the tops ferret for a necker with the rocky mountain grip & am very happy with it. Those izula's do look sweet though.
