Looking for a good fixed blade or two.

I would like one smaller knife that could be used as an EDC if I wanted to. It would need to be good for utility purposes and for skinning. I would also like a larger knife that can be used for camping/hunting purposes.

Didn't take too long to find, about 2 mins and there are plenty of other options if you look...

One that will take care of most of it.... Likely 98% of what you are asking for..... Except for the chopping and brush clearing.

Benchmade Hunt 15007-1 Saddle Mountain Hunter Fixed 4.05" S30V Blade, Contoured G10 Handles, Kydex Sheath.. $123.00

For the chopping and sawing a machete and a saw will take care of the rest for under $75 combined.

This would have been perfect, but you missed out on this one.... Was $95.00, add scales for $20 and a sheath for another $20 or so and still well under the $175 easy.

And CPM S110V to boot.

I love my ESEE's, but I more often carry my Bark River Bravo Necker I and/or Necker II (neck, belt, or pocket - it's all good!):

ESEE-4 has a nicer sheath than the ESEE-3 in my humble opinion.

Further, I personally prefer the SR101 of Scrapyard and CPM 3V of Survive! over 1095. The Survive! comes with a nice kydex sheath as well.

The stainless laminated VG10 Fällkniven F1 and the large CPM 3V Survive! GSO 10 (still 7.5% chromium) would be a "KILLER"-combo, if you're looking for "actually two" "KILLER" fixed blades... :D

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read and suggest knives. Since joining this forum I've been exposed to many new brands. I haven't bought a fixed blade in a few years and just wanted to make sure I was making a good investment as I've never really paid attention to the materials used I only looked at the country of origin. I have settled on a Bench made as of now (will post pics when I get them) and plan to add many of the suggested knives to my collection in time. :)

Thank you all again!

This is true - ESEE 3 comes with plastic sheath; ESEE 4 comes with kydex sheath - there is little comparison.

The two Benchmade's that I've bought are shorter blades so I will probably buy atleast a 4 but maybe even a 5 or 6 inch ESEE just to have a larger blade. They look like really great knives so I'd like to have one.

How about a machete and a Mora?

I would say the Izula 2 and a machete but close enough. :D

OP, I highly suggest getting the Izula 2 over the Izula. That half an inch more handle really does make a difference and I think the stock scales are superior to the TKC scales. Lighter too. I think the 2 is the best small knife out there. Great design. I didn't care for the 3 and 4. For the different hand holds I use for bushcrafting I found that the choil + the guard made it uncomfortable. On small knives I feel that the blade should be as close to your hand as possible so when I would do chest lever cuts I would choke up on the blade to get more leverage and to compensate for the choil. The guard was in the way. If I held below the guard, the edge was too far from my hand and made the cut awkward. A choiless 3 would be one of the best blades on the market IMO.

The OP is looking for an ESEE now and wants something with a higher Price tag, which puts all my go to's of Kabar Heavy Chopper Line, Becker, and yes even Condor out of the mix??

How about an HI Kukri, I've been lusting thier forum for awhile.

A knife is not the best chopping tool, no matter what anyone says, especially not a 4-6" one. As far as Becker's go, get a BK9.
