hey guys i am looking into getting a smaller fixed blade for edc. I have looked at the Spartan enyo, izula, i also have seen some bush craft type knives but i dont know alot about certain manufacturers so any advice is appreciated

go over to the knifemakers section and look up JK handmade knives. John makes a ton of smaller fixed blades that are perfect for EDC around people who may be easily scared by knives

Budget? What's your typical use or intended applications?

I don't know about the others you've mentioned, but the ESEE Izula is a very versatile "neck knife" that's well suited to bushcrafting or other utility uses. It's also very customizable as it's quite popular, so things like custom aftermarket scales are common and so are all kinds of custom sheath options. Not to mention the default sheath is great, and you can get it with the surival kit which includes a good belt-clip, and there's the Izula II as well which comes with scales included ( the Izula comes skeletonized ) and half an inch longer handle. The Izula can typically be found for $50-55, the Izula II for more around $60-70.

ESEE is an all-american made company--in fact I think they're based out of Alabama. They pride themselves on having everything manufactured in America, and they also offer a no-questions-asked warranty... If you break the knife they'll replace it, for whatever reason. They have pretty excellent customer service in all other aspects too.

+1 for JK!

Fiddleback is a great choice too!

An ESEE Izula with a clip on the sheath is a grand EDC setup. Though I like the blade profile of the Becker BK11, and 14 better, and am eager to try a BK24, which is pretty much a BK14, but with a Stonewashed finish, and D2 tool steel, it sounds like a real winner to me.

You need a JK Kentucky Fieldmate with a necker sheath.
