Looking for a good kukri

I would also suggest Himalayan Imports. Their knives work well and are reasonably priced. I would suggest getting one of their cosmetic blems and giving it a good workout to get a feel for what a traditional khukuri can do. The real thing is much more than a bent knife.

Well I must say, I am impressed. No other words for it. I recieved my khuk last night and gave it a good beating up today... and I am impressed. You can tell the better quality in this one versus the Pakistani one when you pick it up. Lol. But I will definitely be adding to my collection in the future!

While the tech to make Wootz Steel, what we call Damascus originated in what are the modern Countries of India/Pakistan. I would refrain from buying any knives from there. At the same time, years ago I had a few bars of Damascus Steel made by a Gentleman in India that was top Grade. So It’s it and miss .

Just in from Kailash. Love it.
Awesome. Feel free to drop a bit of gun oil or wd40 onto that handle to bring the orange out more, I left it raw for shipping so the package would be as dry and rust preventative as possible.
Take care,
Andrew
