The microscope I'm looking at is

1. https://www.google.com/shopping/pro...h=559&ved=0CIgBEKYr&ei=O4twVa7oE5LEogTvvYLYDg

2. https://www.google.com/shopping/pro...ed=0CBAQqis&ei=jodwVanwAs-XygTjp7GQBw#reviews
(Least favorite cause of zoom options

3.https://www.google.com/shopping/pro...ed=0CP0BENkr&ei=7odwVZa_JcyrogSf3YOABA#online

I like the first one the best cause I know the zoom on it but it doesn't show the megapixels and I would like one with good megapixels in that price range

I can't really get a usb microscope cause my computer completely crashed last night

Are there any other good ones for about the same price range maybe $100 to $150 at most but I want it to be a good one.

Also I need a loupe I don't mind getting a few with different zoom levels since they are so cheap.

If you can please give me recommendations on both I need to get them ASAP but trying to keep it cheap but still good quality cause I have to get at least 2 Japanese water stones and a flattening stone plus a few little things for my lansky and money is very tight right now.

Thanks for any input it would be greatly appreciated

The standard jewelers loupe is 10X.
That's usually what gives the best field of view.
Clarity will depend on the glass.
I use an old bausch & lomb bought 30 years ago.

10x is plenty for a loupe. I shave with straight razors and the 10x tells me everything that I need to know about my edge before it hits my face.

Personally I like a watchmaker's eyeglass on a wire holder for a hands-free approach. I have 2.5x and 5x as beyond that the depth of field becomes very shallow, and you hold the work so close you're in danger of stabbing your nose.

For closer work I use a 10X jeweller's loupe, look for "triplet" optics.

Does anyone have advice on which usb microscope would be a good choice I would like to have both

I use a 10x-21mm SE tripplet loup my only loup so I don't have anything else to compare it to. But if I get the light and position of the loup right it provides a very nice clear picture and lots of detail. I think I paid around $7 for mine but I see their going for double now one the site I bought it from.
