looking for a good pocketable fixed blade

Hmm... have you looked at the Arno Bernard Meerkat? 5" overall and less expensive than some of the other options being bandied about (and I expect than going custom). You can always have a custom sheath made.

I recently had a batch of 10 neckers made by Bryan Breeden with less than 2 month turnaround and the price was exceptionally reasonable.
JK - who has a subforum here on BF also has some very nice "pocketable" patterns on his "EDC" line.

and the Dan Koster Scout is a 3V option that is great.

That is really a great looking knife!

It's dangerous territory Doug! Beware!

Indeed, Gary! Fortunately, most of the ones that make me drool are way beyond my price range.

I am only guessing here, but I assume from the beauties you regularly show us, that you are quite familiar with some of the artisans who make that such a dangerously alluring place.

Thanks for showing this. I have an earlier and simpler version of one of these with Sandvik and Micarta. I carry it always in the work bag, it's an exceptional and very credible small knife! Mine stays in a leather sheath, I detest the kydex it came with:eek:

I've seen a Böker Krein Pocket Bowie that interests me, very inexpensive but hard to get here in Europe.

Thanks, Will
