Looking for a good spring assist, thin with clip

My biggest issue is I put my hand in my pocket all the time and its always digging into my hand

I think ill go for the Leek, Ebay has them new for 39.00,,,is there a better/cheaper place to buy them ??

Yes - BladeHQ, GP Knives, or any other supporting BF dealer member that has them. It's much better to have the support of a good dealer than deal with some random numb-nut on eBay.

You need to firmly establish what iteration of the Leek you want, especially regarding blade steel and handle color, then comparison shop with that criteria in mind; not every vendor or seller will stock every possible variation.

If you have successfully shopped using eBay for other purchases, then I see nothing wrong with using the same due dilligence when buying a knife. Be aware that some sellers represent businesses specializing in selling knives or other outdoor/tactical goods. You are less likely to be burned buying from them than from an individual selling miscellaneous unrelated stuff. Usually a major seller will have a virtual storefront to browse if you simply click on a link. But like buying anything online, always keep your brain engaged and know exactly what you want.

One of my favorite dealers is a contributor here, Dave Anderson of kershawguy.com. He’s got a plain 14c28n leek for $35 with free 2-day shipping. And maybe half a dozen other flavors of Leeks if you want to pick something flashier.

Leek and zt 770. 770 in CF is super light - recommended.

Kershaw guy often has seconds and discontinued items.

So there's been a Leek suggestion(great all-around assisted knife), a Shallot suggestion, but no ones suggested a Scallion. It's like an smaller Leek with a Shallot(ish) blade. I've loved all of mine. I think I've lost just about every single one, though so be more responsible than me, haha.

Hint: If what you wanted is a basic, no-frills Kershaw Leek, and you end up spending more than $36 (including shipping to the contiguous United States) then you likely weren't looking hard enough. And bear in mind that a determined and astute shopper will do at least 10% better than that.

I don't regard the Kershaw Link as remarkably thin or pocket friendly. With a handle thickness of 0.49" the various aluminum models are just run-of-the-mill these days, and at 0.60" the glass-reinforced nylon ("plastic") versions are even worse.

Just limiting your choices within the Kershaw line, I'd turn my attention toward the various Al Mar AM-3 or AM-4 models. I've purchased a half-dozen of the 3.5" AM-4, and each sample has exhibited good workmanship and assisted flipping action. And, with a handle thickness of just 0.42" plus a far more slender profile than the Link, its sheer pocketability is very much superior.

I'd disregard the Al Mar AM-5. I've owned three of them, and it's my opinion that the design of the flipper tab erred too far toward sleekness and sacrifices ready accessibility. This model demands that I make a conscious effort to hit the flipper tab "just so" (not so with the AM-4).
AM-4 fan here as well!

ZT 0770CF in the discontinued M390. I've owned two; still have one nib.
Of perhaps 30 ZTs that I've owned, this is the only one that still remains with me, as I like it so much. It sits in the safe; is occasionally flicked once or twice. So VERY smooth.
