Looking for a good knife to wear with my suit when i out and about. it must be easy on the pockets, since i dont want holes or pulled threads in my suit pocket, and must be swank!

The Buck Packlite Skinner is very suave and sophisticated. Beautiful maker's mark, great curves and a nice mirror sheen from the factory. You'd need a custom leather sheath but the blade itself costs 12 bucks so what's not to like? I'd check out the black Victorinox Spartan, as well... you can't tell me that thing isn't clean, simple, practical and sophisticated... it screams "I know what I'm doing, I have a useful tool without being stuck up and overboard".

i'm never in a suit... ever. but if i have to dress up a bit, i carry a benchmade 940 in carbon fiber and D2... or a kulgera. have a small lee ferguson fixed blade for the belt, too. i'm thinking about getting a nice traditional for dress carry, though. maybe a friction folder...

Spyderco sage or caly 3 with CF scales. Both very classy knives, and they would both be easy on your pockets. The caly 3 is slightly less bulky and has a back lock instead of a liner lock. You couldn't go wrong with either one of these.

budgets around 250 preferred, but i will go over that if i find something i must have. im really big on carbon fiber or wood inlays for a dressy knife, and i dont really think im looking for a fixed blade. up until now ive been carrying my protech godfather with a cocobolo inlay, but i just dont want to risk getting pulled over and having that confiscated.

As someone who has had to wear a suit every day for a number of years, I recommend something thin and light similar to the one below which I carried as an EDC for over 15 years. Its a simple lock-back, hence fewer metal parts, no liner because its unnecessary, with an ATS 34 blade. It weighs less than a little loose change, and shows no profile.

go with a jigged wooden mnandi for a little bit more :D

or a carbon fiber Spyderco Sage 1.

Caly 3 CF or Native CF springs to mind. Perhaps a Burger Knives EXK1 CF, all of these are classy and easy on the pockets.

Small Moki, beautiful finish and everyone I show is impressed without getting that sheeple fear look. Oh it cuts great too

Something from Moki or Mcusta will do nicely. I have something from each of those companies, and they make excellent gent's/dress-up knives.
