Looking for a good suit knife

The folding knife I used to carry when "dressed up" was the SOG Twitch II. It was small (2.7" blade), slender, with aluminum handle scales and the design is simple and clean. Clipping it to my pocket didn't tear it up since it was smooth. The small size and clean design is very "sheeple friendly". Something I wasn't afraid to use in front of non-knife people. It is AO but the jewel-like precision of the action was quite impressive.

Now I carry a SAK - Victorinox Alox Cadet when I suit up. I have it in several colors but red is my fav.

perhaps look at mcusta knives. they have some really nice damascus gents knives for under $250.

Small wood inlay Sebenza
Case Tony Bose collaboration (any except for the two blade monster I had)
Mnandi
PT CC stonewashed

Sebenza. The ultimate "Executive" knife. Plus, it has infinite options available so you can custom tailor it to your own specific tastes, and even make it completely one of a kind. Not only will it looks swank, it'll cut as good, if not better, than it looks. Sebbie FTW.

before retirement as a science teacher I carried a lightweight Al Mar Eagle or Spyderco Michael Walker at work...outside of work is a BenchMade Elishewitz Ares...I'm an old fart and my "formal funeral (don't laugh)" knife is a Sebenza... the titanium clip is barely noticable, and I'm wearing it way too much these days...

This is the one I usually wear with my suits...

It's the SOG Arcitech with Carbon Fiber scales, titanium bolsters, a San Mai blade, and an Abalone jeweled thumb stud. It can be found for about 10% more than your $250 budget. It also comes in jigged bone if you prefer.

I think the SS Spyderco Cricket would be a great choice. Though it doesn't have the beautiful-looking materials to it, it's small, lightweight, and not hard on whatever it's clipped to.

I also like CRK knives, and personally am saving up for a small Insingo Sebenza.

It seems like the discussion is focused on only a few manufacturers. If you are willing to look outside those, I really like my Bob Lum by Seki-cut blade, and have a mcusta MC-14 on the wish list. (We miss you Bob). You can still buy a a number of different styles from JKD, and my two experiences with them have both been positive. VG-10 steel, wood inlays, all in all very pretty knives
