Hello all. Sorry for asking a question that's probably been asked before, but I would appreciate your help nonetheless.

I'm looking for a good tactical folder that is 4" or larger.

I don't like the SOG Pentagon Elite 2 or it's newer incarnation. And I don't want an auto, which rules out the Microtech Socom Elite.

Any other suggestions?

Price is not an issue.

Thanks!

The Zero Tolerance 0200 is pretty large, pretty tough, has a great handle and is a good value.

Any Emerson knife would fit the bill, i have the CQC 8 and thats a 4in folder and has the wave feature, i also have the Mini Commander but thats under 4in.

I should add that this knife will be used for personal protection, therefore, a blade profile suited toward that end would be best. The ZT knives are large and nearly meet the size requirement, but the blade profile seems to be not suited towards self-defense.

Overall Length (inches): 10.125
Blade Length (inches): 4.50
Blade Material: VG-10, TiNi
Blade Detail: Plain
Handle Material: Titanium with kraton scales
Lock Style: S.A.T.
Carry System: Nylon Pouch

I would chose Benchmade 630 Skirmish. Not typical self-defense shape again, but with such an intimidating size, you wont even have to use it ;p

very interesting....:D

You mentioned an auto Microtech Socom. They come in manual as well with a 4" D2 steel, .174" thick blade. Thick liner lock. Very stout and well built, at least mine is.
