Looking for a good "working" mini trapper

Great choice with the Case mini trapper with wharnie. That is a great set up at a very reasonable price and availability.

That Fallkniven LTC is cool. Have to add that to my Christmas list.

I'm actually consider getting it if I can legitimize it. I'm not a collector so already have too many knives just sitting on the shelf. If they come out with one that has an added caplifter/screwdriver I'm getting it. I bought the Case beertrap just because of that though it just sits now. Of course the Grand Portage is my primary or more accurately, only knife I carry now.

So my new Case Amber Bone Mini Trapper arrived yesterday and it looks really good to me. Only gripe is the clip blade has a rough hitch in it when I open it. The spey blade does not. Does it matter...not really as I bought the knife to use. I suspect a little lube and use might take care of it...but we'll see. After looking it over, the handle is real pretty in a classic way, blades and bolsters are highly polished and it's a good looking little package. Now how does it compare to my ultimate trapper, the Buck 311...while obviously better looking, I can't say it is better from a user standpoint. The old 311 is smooth, solid, easy to open and always did everything I asked of it. In that regard, the jury is still out.
