I want to buy a BK9 and have somebody regrind the top area into a true Bowie clip, anybody got any recommendations?

No offense intended to said artisans. I cry your pardon. It was a nickname I heard from a steelworker friend of mine and it just popped out as I typed the thread.

Grab yourself a half-round file and go to work! $6-8 and a little elbow grease will get it done for you.

This guy has you covered, he is one of the original blacksmiths!

See I was thinking about filing the shark fin (jimping) off of mine, but I just got a sweet sheath from 710, and I don't want to mess up the retention.

Ya'll are right, I should try to do it myself. I mean that's what being a "Beckerhead" is all about right? I am not a BH yet but, I am working on it. :-)

A 4" contact wheel with an assortment of belts will make the job fast and easy.

I have wanted a Bowie knife for a long time there's on AZCK that is a Jeff Chaffee SOG Vietnam Bowie but I just can't afford that beauty. Even if I could I wouldn't have the heart to use it. So I will try my hand at modifying and see where it goes from there. I may even try my hand at custom scales too.

I just want the blade to look more like a traditional Bowie. I saw a picture of one on Google and that's how I want to do mine. :-)
