Hello guys

I have been reading way more than posting on this forum this is my first time posting. You guys are really a friendly bunch of knife addicts just like my self. My question here is I am planning to get a new blade, a hard use folder I know the term has been over used but it is what it is. My choices are a Benchmade Adamas BM275BK, Lionsteel SR1 aluminum, ZT 0562, ZT 0620 and finally a DPx Hest 2.0

Just looking for an all around folder that doesn't mind being thrashed hard.

Appreciate the time and effort you guys put on here.

I've handled the Adamas, I like it ok but think its overpriced. I had an SR-1A, the handles were just too smooth. My vote is the 0562--Hinderer design, flips very well, proven design, heavy duty. Elmax vs D2/Sleipner. I prefer flippers to waves and I give the "edge" to Elmax, even though I love D2.

Hey K.O.D
Quick reply the ZT 0562 is a beautiful blade but I already got the ZT 0550 and ZT 0560BW I want to stay away for the ZT knife if I can help it though you can have too many ZTs.

Of the ones you mentioned the Adamas is probably the toughest and strongest. That's just my opinion from having owned almost all that you mentioned.

Really need the input guys

The Search function can be your friend. Seems like every third or fourth thread is asking the same question you have asked.
You probably don't even need to search. Just look at other peoples' threads in the General forum.
You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a "Looking for a hard use folder" thread.

If this doesn't convince you, nothing will....

In the amount of words you wrote you could have made a suggestion but didn't ... I know it gets redundant seeing the same threads but isn't that what these forums are for...

I say get the adamas... i own one and its tough as nails....

The search function is not necessarily user friendly, and may obtain results for several thousand posts and threads, no matter how specific one is when inputing a search term. That said, I would say it's more preferable for the meaty and heavy hands of the MOD's to say what you've said (which BTW, I wouldn't agree with any more than if you say it), lest you be accused of trolling; simple word to the wise.;)

Zero tolerance is going to have the best warranty for a "hard use knife". I own the adamas and while its a capable blade , the sprimgs in the axis lock is just another part inbthe knife that can fail. I would go ZT based on that as well. As far as a dpx hest Ive had 2 and IMO lionsteel runs their TI a little soft and both my hests got lock rock and some TI deformation ,granted they have a no questions asked warranty, but again for the money get the ZT. IF ZT really did ever have a problem with elmax they dont now, my 560bw has been thrashed on and it just comes back for more , I used to hate the 560 as well, but after seeing a steel lockbar insert had been added to the TI i bought another and i love it, FWIW i also have the 801 566 0770cf and the elmax on all of them is great.

The guy was bumping the thread and asking for more input. I gave him a source for more input while he is so anxiously awaiting more "live" replies.

Lol this is bladeforums , same threads over and over , its all good though. At least it aint strider vs sebenza.

How about a TSF Beast, I hear they are quite hardy, although I don't have personal experience.
