Looking for a heavy duty multitool for my emergency bag

I'm no expert, but I'll voice my opinion.

I don't like that Ti coated SOG or the Gerber Diesel (cool name) because of their combi-edge blades. I use my tool for cutting and prefer the straight edge, altough the serrated edge is fine if it's a seperate blade. I also don't like short length screwdriver bits. What can you do with short bits? A longer bit can do anything a shorter bit can, however the opposite isn't true.

I would say buy the Victorinox Swiss Tool, or the Leatherman Super Tool.

I had A LM Wave for 5 years. It did everything I ever asked of it. It was a bit small, and prone to flex, but it was a quality piece. The cutting blades on my Wave sucked, but I've heard the newer model has vastly improved blade materials and design. I would think the LM ST would have the same quality as the Wave in a larger more robust package.

The LM tools seem prone to rusting. The Vic. tools don't rust, ever.
