Hello all, i have a question again. I'm trying to find the perfect knife for my little brother. It must be of dependable quality, a folder small enough to carry to school without drawing attention and cheap enough so that if he loses it or breaks it it isn't really a problem. Any ideas, I've been thinking Victorinox or a small Buck. He loves to fish, camp and hike. Thanks

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

Victorinox Camper - if he loves the outdoors, he'll appreciate the tools here: 2 blades, saw (that works great), awl, and the Vic regulars. Comes is black too...

He'll love it

Yeah the Camper was probably the one I was going with. You said it was in black somewhere? I'm still looking

Got it in Canada. Good luck.

If you're heart-set on it, and you fail in your quest, e-mail me.

Cheers,

Hey Guy...

I'll vote for the SAK also...

although I,,myself wouldn't get the camper,, but opt for a little bit large version.. The RUK..
It has all the tools,, to be a first class survival knife,, plus it has a locking blade on it...

I understand though that it may be a bit big to hump around in the pocket...

I'd suggest a wenger packlock SAK for a first knife -- they're small, but the blade locks out, which is always a good thing (especially if you're teaching him to sharpen that sucker..!)
