Looking For a Knife in Dubai

Are there any knife shops in Dubai, besides the crap you find at the souk? Or maybe any BF'ers here with something nice for sale? Two weeks in this place and I'm having withdrawels. :eek:
 
There is a hardware store on Al Fahidi Street in Bur Dubai that sells knives. They should be displayed in the window. Mostly kitchen and sporting/hunting knives.

If you are looking for something uber tactical, your best bet is in finding it in a souk.
 
I can't have anything shipped here, because I can't be sure it'd reach me in time. From what I'm able to find out about the laws, I can descreetly carry a small folder. I'm carrying a small Sebenza, but the blade has gotten damaged and I can't find a sharpening stone anywhere that doesn't cost 300 Dirhams.

Do you happen to know the name of that place? I'm going to try to find my way there in a few days. I don't need uber tactical, just a tasteful folder. I'd really like to f\get another CRK, but what I'd find in the souks are probably fakes. Just like all the 'Louis Vuitton' or 'Chanel' purses I saw. :p
 
Best I have found is a place here in Abu Dhabi that sells Cold Steel and the occasional Benchmade folder. It's a sporting goods shop at Hamdan center.

Hmmmm, I'll have to check that out if I get back out to Abu Dhabi. Now I wish I'd posted this thread a week ago, I had to go out there.
 
Was just searching the same thing online and saw you post (A little late i have to admit) i have a friend who runs a store called A; Sayyad which is behind Deira city center he has cold steel, Buck a couple of the AK47's and some other nice folders, i have bought a few from him and he has always been reliable.

I've been back Stateside since April, but can never be sure I won't go back there someday. So your information is good to have. Thank you.
