Looking for a knife similar in shape to an Emerson A100

The Medford M-48 has some of what you're looking for:

It is a little larger than the Super A-100, and twice as expensive by MSRP, probably because of the Titanium bits. The point has a odd swedge grind, too. Probably not what you're looking for, but if you really want to be different, it's an option.
 
The SOG Pentagon XR kinda has that vibe. So does the Gerber Covert.

Kershaw made one called the Barstow that was similar-ish. Real inexpensive, but I haven't seen one around in awhile.

Too bad you have some Benchmade disdain of sorts... the SOCP Tactical Folder is a really neat piece.

Myself, I like the Ontario Bob Dozier Arrow. If you remember the old Ka-Bar Thorn, it's pretty much a throwback to that, minus the titanium handles.
