Looking for a leather sheath

This will be my first time going to the fair but they have some of the best leather workers that come to tuxedo. my friend bought a knife from a blacksmith and a sheath from one of the leather people and its beautiful. the one person i talked to about making me a sheath from this forum asked me to send him my knife. If anyone knows and has a reliable sheath maker that i don't have to send my knife to i would appreciate there info.

Thanks to all who recommended me, truly appreciated. I have only been taking orders for 6-7 months and some of the makers mentioned here have been serving the Busse community 10 times that long. All of them do excellent work. I am always amazed when I look at other people's sheaths how unique each makers style is. I can usually spot who made the sheath just by the style. What I'm saying is that not only do you have a lot of choices in who you pick to make a sheath, you have a lot of variety.

Ericz - You didn't mention what you need fitted and I can't speak to what others have on-hand, but I can currently fit over 50 Busse & Kin knives without sending in your knife. I also add them whenever I can and have 16 more pending from O2W. I do my best to keep what I have updated on my site at this link.

My site is woefully out of date with pictures and I am planning updates but here are some recent D-Guard sheaths. Shipping a few DT's next week and will get pictures of them as well, the retention strap is configured slightly different.

Wow! I didn't check this thread for a day and didn't realize all the replies. Thank you for all the info. I am currently trying to get my hands on a BG WTF and will be outfitting that bad boy with some leather pants. It seems that I will be going with Chad Pirtle but I doubt it will be the last time I'm in need of a sheath. Thanks again!

chad your list is great i have 2 custom boss streets a big ash a pork shank with some on order i am also adding more all the time. i will be contacting you in the near future because i obviously see you are a quality craftsman.

We can't answer that. You would have to enquire of each maker regarding your specific model.

Another +1 for Pirtlemade. Chad worked with me to create exactly the EDC sheath I was looking for, and I'll be sending several more blades to him in the near future knowing that each sheath will be well thought out in its design and style, and carefully executed in workmanship and details.

I have a couple of leather sheaths from Armoralleather (Dwayne) and they are tops. One more Dundee/Dangler rig that he is working on for my WTF. Pics to follow.

I can not speak for the other leather makers since I do no own theirs.

A gentleman by the name of Dwayne Puckett. Find him, and you will find kickass leather. That is all.

(Leatherman has his own spot here on bladeforums)

You should look into the work of Paul Long from Kerrville, Texas. If you google him you'll see images of his outstanding work. He's a master of the sheath-making craft.

New to the forum but not to steel. Just wanted to share that I recently purchased a Busse D Guard. and commissioned Chad at Pirtlemade. This isn't a sheath...It's a real piece of artwork. The quality, fit and finish is amazing. He incorporated everything I asked for and then some. He knew what I was after and well...you can judge. I like his work.

Lots of great makers here and most of them have been mentioned already. I would also recommend looking into Rowe's Leather. Kenny does some absolutely beautiful work.

I'll second Rowe's Leather. When I first got started his work was one of those that I admired most.
