(Hope this is the right forum to post this)

There has been some talk over the past few months about taking 13C26 to a higher hardness than its typically run by production companies (64~65 RC VS 58? RC). I'm wondering if there is a maker here who could make a knife for me in this steel at such a hardness, or if there is someone who could heat treat an existing 13C26 Kershaw blade to a higher hardness. If anyone can point me in the right direction for such a thing it'd be appreciated. The knife need not be fancy, something like the Spyderco Mule team is all I'd want. Something bare bones simply to test the steel.

I have some 13C26 and would be happy to make a knife out of it and have it heat-treated to a high hardness. I'd want to do my own design, though. If that works for you, let me know. If not, no problem.

Many years ago Buck knives ran some of their 440C hunters to 61-62 instead of the standard 56-58. The failure rate due to chipping and snapping of tips was extremely high.
