Looking for a Marlin spike - Buck #315?

I 'retired' from the USN while Nixon was Prez - sold my last sailboat (San Juan 21) when Reagan was leaving. Still, I've always wanted a pocket knife with a Marlin spike. Wasn't there once a Buck #315 so-equipped? Anyone have one - or had one? Is it serviceable? Oh, sure... the greatest duty it would likely see here would be easing a knot in my boot laces.

I know Victorinox makes their 'Helmsman' model SAK - with a flat skeletonized variant of a spike - I want a real spike! Ahhh, another senseless search...

Thanks!

Thanks for the pix, Haebbie! And - I knew a moron who had a 124 - and sold it - does that help?

Haebbie,

It was a pun... you wanted a maroon 124....

I'll keep my eye out for an affordable 315... anyone know when they stopped making them?

I guess my wife's desires for a trip to Alabama's Gulf Shores, sort of the 'Redneck Riviera', this summer may trump my greater Buck plans... and any hope for an ID trip. The 700+ mile sojourn will likely run me $1200+, with gas, souvenirs, rotten food, sunburns, etc. Wow... that's serious Buck buck$.

Thanks!

Stainz

PS Hope you make it to ID...

Dang, I wish you guys would pick knives I already had photos of, this rush photo business is to much like, say motherinlaws coming housework.........BC is on track, lets see if I can confuse the issue. 315 Yachtsman- all are Camillus made. In two styles bolstered and bareheaded. Cami and others have twin models of the barehead. Multiple marlin spikes exist from many sources. Some of the new ones are state of the art..

Buck 315- 1972 up to 1998. Basically in 8 variations. Some of which are very rare I am always looking. A person who shall remain nameless but lives in Tenn. beat me on ebay for the only barehead with hot stamped BUCK on scale I have ever seen. I should of bid 5 more bucks...oh well...The rarest of the rare is the 315 Americas Cup, ahla Ted Turner, white scale with American flag. I have seen only one, I hope to see one at the factory in July. Hint, hint.
Bolstered models are all solid spring, bareheads come in solid and split backsprings. Shown are top left barehead with split springs and scale rivets, top right barehead with solid spring but NO scale rivets(spring) showing. Then the bolstered early models on the right with Buck,USA,315 and on the left with the first version Buck,Made in USA, 315 on reverse. More than you wanted to know, right......300$s

...Stainz...There's one o' them auction joints out there that has Bucks fer sale I heard...If ya type in 315 when in the Buck area you have about 45 minutes to fulfill your wish...maybe...:D:D...Hurry...oops...Too Late...Sold for $32.99...

Yes, Stainz, it would rain cows and horses and I make it to Idaho even so. But the Alabama Redneck Riviera is not bad too I think. You'll find stores with Buck knifes there too :D . Okay, it's not the annual meeting. But in Idaho is no Riviera.

Best regards and please send me a mail,

Herbert

OLD THREAD ALERT...

Ok, I think I asked this before...but I can't find the post or if there was an associated reply.
I had one of the bolstered 315 knives discussed here. Long MIA.

IIRC, the whatchamacallit at the end where Haebbie has his lanyard was spring loaded.
Is that correct? If so, why?

Thanks!
