Looking for a mid-tech non assisted flipper. Need advice

Ya. Sorry guys, I guess I should have done more research on the definition of mid-tech, thought it meant mid range and not necessarily production or custom. I guess I'd be more interested in a production but I'd consider stretching the budget for a nice custom?

Do you have a minimum and maximum blade length? Up to around $550-$600?

Lots of great options guys thx! That lahar is awesome but seems like it would be hard to find. The Brous bionic is kind of what got me going in the flipper direction but looks kind of small. The ZT0801 is very interesting being that it's designed by Rexford.

If you like the Lahar, Kershawguy, one of the supporting dealers here, has them available on his site for a smokin' price.

Thx for the heads up, unfortunately he doesn't ship international.

I would highly recommend a Galyean mid-tech Turbulance for a non-assisted flipper it is amazing, might be tough to find, but if you do, you will not be sorry.

plus one on the ZT 560/561. Though I saw the new line up and can't wait for the new slicer ground flipper, 563 mabe it was?

i find that with the knife hobby personal preference evolve or change as time goes on, and at this point i'm wanting a nice non assisted flipper. I searched and seen threads on cheap flippers but i'm looking for a great flipper in the 200 - 400 range. I'm not overly picky about the steel but want smooth action with a solid lockup. Any recommendations?

brous.

In all seriousness, the T-4 / Reloader / Division straight dump on the production knives mentioned here.
I've owned mostly all of those (some still) and the blades I have from Jason flat out dump on them.

While its a little over your $500 max, the Wilson combat Les george eagle is a fantastic mid tech flipper.

Brian Tighe has some pretty cool flippers in the $500+ range.

I was going to mention both the Wilson Combat Eagle and the Brian Tighe Coon (Brian's Canadian) plus the Curtiss F3 but all three are in the $500-$550 range.

I'd check out the knives that ZT is supposed to be releasing this year. They're on their website. If you like the xm-18's, they've got a sweet new hinderer design coming out soon.

I'm really considering getting a Brous. As I mentioned in a previous post it was the Brous blades that got me going in this direction.

Thanks for all the great feedback guys, Plenty of great options for sure. I appreciate it!

I have never directly contacted a maker I've purchased from until I received my Reloader. THAT DAY, a t-4 was on the way to me. I have owned every spyderco sprint, striders, crk's you name it. THATS how impressed I was.

There was a T4 on the exchange a few days ago, I'll have to check and see if it's still available. How do you like your T4? seems like the right way to go and @ $300 its right in the sweet spot of my budget.
