What do you recc for an EDC neck knife?

I am in CA and understand that I can not carry concealed a blade that is over 2" long, or that can used to stab.

Customs: Ray Laconico project W, Gossman PSK, also check out the Maker's fixed blade for sale area as there are frequently neck knives on offer by a variety of makers.

John Landi made me a nice little PSK in hunter orange. Slim knife that disappears on your neck. I don't have a picture handy, but here's the basic design:

My old lady bought me this 2 weeks ago. Les Voorhies. About 5" overall. $85 from his site.

Check out Pat Crawfords web site.My wife bought me a Crawford Kasper neck knife with a 3 1/2 inch blade back in 01.He used ATS34 steel in those days, still a great knife, now uses S30V or 154CM.Pat and his son both know how to make em and are pleasant to deal with...

At just a hair over 5" overall with a 2" blade. The Mikro Canadian from BRKT is a great little user. People seemed intrigued by it when I use rather than knife nervous. It could be worn as a necker I'll bet. Just another option.

Not if it's coated. ;)

But yes, stainless is a better option for under-the-shirt carry.

CRKT Alan Folts Minimalist (or the custom if you want)
$20
