Looking for a Neck Knife

If you're going for a neck knife to literally use around your neck, I'd go with the Minimalist. It's small and light. I switched the lanyard that mine came with for a bead chain. I'm not really a fan of carrying a knife that way, but I do it from time to time with my Minimalist and Izula.

What is that BRKT at the top called? Looks awesome.

What'll you be doing with the knife, that you're so sure you'll break it? I doubt you'll be able to break any of the knives listed in this thread without actively trying to. Something doesn't have to be made of a one-fourth inch thick slab of Infi in order to be strong.
... That being said, if you're sure that the knife will eventually be broken, (even if I'm not,) an Izula seems like the best way to go. The upfront cost will be higher, but you'll only have to buy it once.

ESEE only uses 1095, busse has INFI. If you are absolutely sure you need the premium steel go with the INFI neck knife. I think they sell for about three to four hundred bucks. With the lifetime warranty there is nothing to worry about. With that cheap 1095 from ESEE you might not make it home to reap the benefit of the warranty, there is the possibility you will get really hammered out in the wild and never get to send the carbon steel in for a replacement.

Food for thought.

Isn't INFI actually just a simple carbon steel with a brand name?

For $300-$400, get yourself a custom from Murray Carter.

Or if you really want "super steel" that you don't have to worry about, BRKT makes their necker in CPM-3V. That stuff is tough as heck.

I would also like to add that if the difference between living and dying is a small amount of lateral strength in your neck knife, you may need to seriously rethink your life.
