I haven't even recieved my F1 and already looking for the next one.:o
Nothing out of the ordinary for this place I guess!;)
I have a small barkie that I thought was told was a micro canadian, then I got it and it had only 2 finger grooves, it was a micro slither.:( Ah well, still performed amazing, sharpest knife I own.)
Now I want to see what a bigger one can do, I was thinking a mini northstar, or possibly the mini canadian again for the first time, but I am open to reccomendations, and please show me some pics!

be careful with those barkies... they're addicting....:o

i own both the mini-northstar and mini-canadian.... they are great field knives and also do well as EDC knives....

I really like my Aurora,it's the knife I've been looking for, ever since I got rid of my Gerber Shorty 25yrs ago. I would like to try the Nebula next, one of these days I am going to have give Derrick at knivesshipfree.com, another call. Oh well, there's worse things to be addicted to.

Liam, I'd say the mini-Northstar. I have the Northstar, not the mini, but I'm so confident it'll be every bit as fine as its big brother that the mini will be my next Barkie.

HOWEVER! I just received an email from dlttradingcompany about BRKT's newest line (LE re-make of an old line): the Blackwater Boot Knife II (BBK-II) Limited Edition. Now, this one is hollow ground, but according to the write-up, it's hollow ground in a unique way. They're calling it Large Diameter Shallow Hollow Grind....hehehe. I kindly like it!

Specs are: 8-3/4" long, 4-1/2" blade, .187 (3/16") thick steel, N685 Bohler stainless steel, 5.5 ounces.

Here's one in forrest green G-10. To me, this knife is gorgeous!

Must.... Not.... Start.... Buying.... Barkies....

I have a mini canadian. My god that's a nice little knife. I don't like the sheath, though, and so I'm thinking about playing around with kydex for it, maybe turn it into a neck knife.

I've been tossin up between the Fox River and the Bravo-1 can't decide. While you're at it can you throw some opinions my way?

Bark River has so many good knives it's hard to choose.

The great thing about them is you don't have to "thin down the edge" or do any extensive profiling to have a good knife that cuts great:thumbup:

Also you can get them in pretty much any scale material you want.

Also you don't have to pay more or wait for a special run to get satin.

You can get them from regular internet knife dealers and don't really have to buy them secondhand at a big markup to get a nice one.

Also another plus is nearly all models come with sheaths!

I like all their blades but Northstar is probably my favorite.

I got a Mini Canadian about a year ago in green micarta. It is very sharp and tough as nails. It is great for pocket carry, but can also perform like a big knife a lot of the time.

I then decided I'd like a larger sheath knife, so in September I treated myself to a Northstar in curly maple. This one is an excellent size and shape for just about anything.

Sometime down the line I'd like to try a Lil Nessy.

Here's the Bravo 1 "in hand" and a shot showing the handle contour

Barkies are dangerous.....walk away while you still can and still have some money.

I have the new Blackwater Boot knife arriving today and hope it will fill the EDC niche I've been trying to fill.

The mini-Northstar is awesome, I use it it in the kitchen, garden, hunting, etc. I just like the thicker blade on the BBK-II and the hedgehog for general work.

I'd never seen an in-hand of the Aurora HD, and now I must have one. Apparently my dozen other user blades just won't do as much.

Very cool blades!!!

I think "In Hand" pics are a must. I can't name how many times I've bought a knife only to find out it was much larger or smaller than I imagined from the pics. Need something to give me scale.

Dammit, you're going to end up sending me to the poor house (or the dog house) if you tempt me like that. ;)

I've never been fond of bolsters on a fixed blade, but the Lil Nessy seems like a useful knife to have in camp - especially for working with food.
