I have been using a specific online blade retailer for several years. Last month I had a frustrating interaction with their customer service and now will be shopping else where. My account was compromised. i.e. they logged into my account and ordered a couple knives with the credit card that was stored. I caught it and canceled the order the same day, they froze my account, told me I needed tot create a new account with a new email. So I am going to make a brand new email to keep track of? I will also add that when I canceled the order had not shipped, and they still changed me. I had to go back to my credit card company. I was told that even if the order never left the shelf I have to take it up with my card holder.

All to be said I might be being a little picky, and I get some of it, but regardless I am jumping ship. What online dealer do folks feel has good customer service, gets exclusives, and has reasonable prices? I am thinking of going with SMKW.

My suggestion is don't set up an account, and don't store your credit card number on the dealers website. Use the guest checkout instead. And why limit yourself to one dealer? When I'm looking for a knife. I shop the price including shipping, at several dealers, and buy from the one that has the best deal on that knife.

O.B.

This!
There are some great dealers out there, some of which get mentioned frequently in threads about particular brands/models. Sometimes I will pay a little more to get a blade from a dealer who ships a little faster.

Also consider supporting BladeForums Paid Member Supporting Dealer List too.
