Looking for a new edc, recommendations please

Cold steel recon 1 for durability? Or benchmade 940, I have heard of people prying with success with both those knives.
 
The bm 940 is nice, I'm a fan of reverse tanto/sheepsfoot type blades. I wish I could buy all the knives.
 
Take a look at the zero tolerance 0200 , large pivot , 154cm thick blade makes it a good hard use folder .
Al the late models are less rugged , although they use a better steel then the 0200.
Enlan bee are good 440c knives and I use them a lot for going of road uploadfromtaptalk1408296038872.jpg

The 0550 is awesome. If you're really using a blade for hard work, you will come to love this knife in very short order. :)

I got one on ebay for 150$, good price? should I beware of counterfeit?


I put in the offer on ebay befare the zt 200 rec :(
 
The 0550 is a knife you need to get use to open without holding the lockbar or it will be hard to open it from my expiriance.

While dual wielding voyagers seems awesome, for a zombie apocalypse, I need to be practical.

Also if we're going to be ridiculous, I'm more of a Microtech Jagdkommando kind of guy.

Great choice on the 0550. It is an excellent knife. Dirty ropes and canvas can wear an edge down really quickly. For that, I might have also suggested getting a blade with serrations, and possibly even a recurve. The ZT 0200ST or 0300ST might fit that bill well. Both of those also feature a solid pivot, which should be a bit stronger as well (for some prying tasks).

Solid price, I suspect you'll be happy. The 0550 is a beast, but one that won't cause a panic if you use it in public.

If you can find one, I would recommend the ZT0551 it has Elmax steel which is a little tougher. If not, I think the 550 would still be the knife for your needs. I would not get the military if your going to be doing any prying with it. You will break the tip. For the hard use your looking for the 550 or (even better) 551, would be a great knife.
