I love my Sebenza, but- just because the Sebenza is a great knife does not mean it is the only good knife. I am sure most others can recommend other great options but the Kershaw Shallot has become a recent favorite with me, and I have a soft spot for Spydercos of any kind.

I agree, there are many other fine knifves out there, but the original poster mentioned the Sebenza, and he wants a "working knife" As Sebenza fans know, CR designed the Sebenza to work. Sebenza even means, to work... Besides, with knives at this level, you can always sell them at little or no loss if you are disappointed.

Get the Sebenza.

Consider buying a used one. That way, if you decide it's not right for you, you will be able to sell it for as much as you paid for it. And if you decide to keep it, you can send it to CRK and they will make it like new. You can't go wrong.

Get one and carry and use it for 6 months to test it out. Take it apart and put it back together at least once so you can fully appreciate its elegant and simple design.
