Just wanted to mention that the Red Bone model listed above in your link is 3 1/4 inches closed and would make that model somewhat smaller than the aforementioned. Also, Gramps does fish apparently so perhaps the spey blade would be more apropos..

But hey, I could be wrong. Just wanted to mention it is all.. Best to you, pimp on whatever you end up with to give ole Gramps!:thumbup:

Good catch! I didn't realize I posted a link for a 3-1/4" and a 3-5/8" knife. In all my browsing I didn't realize the redbone was shorter. I'm gonna order that smaller size, because that's the perfect size for me and I don't have much use for a spey.

The more I use CV the more impressed I am with it. It's really great steel.
