New to blade forums!
Having a lot of trouble of what my next knife should be.
Here is what I am looking for
(Doesn't need to match perfectly haha)
Thickness: 1/4 of an inch. (I like splitting wood)
Steel: CPM3v (Or something that isn't that difficult to sharpen and holds a reasonable edge) (corrosion resistant)
Length: 6 inches
Grind: Saber grind
I have an esee 6 and a bk7, looking for something different than high carbon.
(Knives I've looked at) Bark River Aurora CPM3v, Cold Steel Master Hunter, CPM 3v, Cold steel SRK Cpm3v, Fallkniven A1, or A1 PRO. I have 400 dollars total.
Thanks guys!!

Wow, $400 opens you wide up for customs and handmades. At that price range, I would sure look at them. Some of those listed don't hit the 1/4 inch mark, do they? I used to really like the 1/4 inch stuff, but slimmed it down a little no for better actual cutting without any real loss for battoning if I need it. The fallkniven is a nice knife, but that laminated steel is a pain and has some funky edge issues from the factory. The I sheath on the one I used was kinda chintzy for such a pricey knife. I never actually bought one, just used a friends in the woods a few times.

Hey check out Trc's apocalypse , it's pretty close to what you're looking for . Also ambush alpha which is made by barkriver , it's an amazing chopper /splitter. I have a lionsteel m7 that may be a bit large but I would definitely recommend it . Good luck !
