Hey guys,

Well, the girlfriend has been hinting on what I want for x-mas. I've been looking at Maxpedition, alot of their models are nice, but I think the proteus, saber cat, lunada and Remora stick out the most.
Im just not able to decide on one, and don't really want to fork over the money and try a couple out, remember I'm buying from canada and something like the proteus is going to run me $90.
I primarily meed some thing for EDC and something to carry some gear for a day hike.

Things I would like it to carry:
First aid kit
TK 10
Leatherman wave
Benchmade griptilian
Survival kit ( water purification, signal/navigation, shelter)
Heavy duty heat blanket
GPS and a few other odds and ends.

I had a pack that had around 210 Cubic inches and it held that stuff fine, some I'm hoping that something a little bigger, or close will suffice.

Thanks for any help you can give guys.

Looking at what you want to carry, the Proteus should more than fit the bill. I've never seen one in person, but the Remora might be a little tight, but may still handle it. I forgot who has one here, but maybe they'll post it again.

IIRC the Proteus fits inside the main compartment of the Sabercat with room to spare, so it's a bit big for what you want to carry. The Lunada might be a bit big too. Is this to be a single-purpose bag for what you listed, or does it need to "grow" as well?

I love my condor II it does just about everything i need it to...i can pack for up to 5 days in moderate to hot weather and be fine...colder weather not so much since i am packing my sleeping bag and one person tent...

Not to hijack your thread but this might help you to.

What all do you put in your condor II? I have one and love it but I can't figure out how to pack it well.
