Recommendation? looking for a non-threatening EDC knife

what is threatening or non-threatening is something very personal
Here after some reactions to different knives I have
ZT0350 = weapon
ZT0562 = fighting knife
PM2 = weapon
Delica 4 = military knife
Large Inkosi = cutlass
Keshaw CQC4K = weapon

The only EDCs that have been OK are Opinels, SAKs and traditional non locking knives.

ZT 0770CF: OMG, that’s a big knife! (This is from people that work in restaurants where 10” chef knives are the norm)
Spyderco Manbug: OMG, that’s so tiny and cute! Why do you have such a small knife?
Spyderco PM2: OMG, are you a terrorist?!?!?
Spyderco Tasman Salt: silence...while taking a step back.
SAK Pioneer: Sweet Swiss Army Knife bruh!

Unless you look and act like Charles Mansion most people will not even notice . I assume you have an apron or otherwise look the part and are focusing on your work and not madly glaring at the customers with knife in hand . How YOU act is the most important factor .

I don’t work in the restaurants directly. Getting a knife out to cut a zip tie or such just freaks people out and I don’t look a bit like Charles Manson, thanks.

That is the mel gibson's, bravehearts, williams wallace's irish side kick, not manson. the irish guy. the "my island" guy. But for the thread, a knife that has friendly colors to it also helps.

This is pretty EDC non-threatening. Even the name is friendly : Night-Slasher Cobra , what a fun movie that was ;)

I recommend getting a box cutter for work. I’ve got a cool folding Craftsman with a thumbstud and pocket clip.

Don’t get me wrong, you need to get yourself a knife too, but pick out something you really like for outside of work.

Nothing can beat the exquisiteness of the Tac-Force knives. So wonderfully designed with 10% lockup :D

Keeping the price down but getting a great knife The Kershaw Blur in S30V. Great knife for hard use, assisted open durable and relatively lightweight. Frame is aluminum with traktech. Very grippy.
When I have alot of work to do like cut up boxes I always reach for the Blur. It also comes in other steels and colors. Another similar knife is the Kershaw Camber , It looks similar to the Blur and it only comes in S30V.
The difference between the 2 is that Blur is a thumbstud and the camber is a flipper. I have two of each, one is for EDC and the other is a safequeen. I highly recommend either of them for day to day EDC.

Traditional slipjoint sheepsfoot. How threatening can a tiny nonlocking blunt tip knife be?

I appreciate all of your help, but since I believe I've made my decision, i may go ahead and turn notifications off for this thread. you all have been very pleasant and I love all the help I've been given! thank you all for your time :)

I work at a supermarket as a stocker and a cashier and sometimes Ill need to cut a box or cord and being around children and families I cant just pull out a 3.5in Tacti-cool assisted opening serrated belt knife like I'll take on the trail.

is there any recommendations for a simple, non threatening, easy to operate (flipper or thumb stud), small, but also useful knife? I was looking at the Buck Revel because its a non threatening shape and color, but they seem to be not made or sold anymore, and I was wondering if there were any more modern and available options.

The Revel for Reference: https://images.knifecenter.com/thumb/1500x1500/knifecenter/buck/images/BU0766YWS.jpg

Just trying to find something to make my job easier and to make sure I'm not making kids and mothers freak out :)

EDIT: might as well add that price isn't really a concern since it will see a lot of use, but I'm not looking break the bank since I'm a college supermarket worker and I need all the money I can save. cheers!

Gerber makes a nice Razor blade knife!
