(ignore the fancy screws)
Yup

I understand their terms about the warranty but If this was a good US company they would repair your knife and charge you for spare parts.
I was just looking their knives and the prices..... huh ... according to their prices they should send a car to your home to pick your knife for repair.
Damn; do folks really buy those knives for such prices?

If US citizen (like you) supports US company and state economy by buying only US made products then US companies should also support back US citizens.
Agreed. I kinda feel like an idiot. Watched too many YouTube videos on what great knives they were supposed to be. No one ever mentioned their horrible customer support. Never again.

Nah, don't feel bad about it. After all it's just a knife.... a thing you buy and it's not exactly as you expected to be.
We live in strange times where quality for the money we pay is very relative.
For example, I bought a knife and then I saw a review by KnifeCenter on Youtube of this knife and the guy comment was you suppose to get this quality in the price range of $600.
The price was $30 and the knife is PF838... so... go figure.

Guess you guys missed the big whoopdie doo on IG and Youtube where Brian of Transparent Knives published a Rockwell hardness score for one of his Hinderers that came in a bit below spec. Long story short ... Hinderer ended up sending him a cease and desist letter and threatened to sue him.

Sue him? On what ground?
I would say this tells a lot about this company.
I don't think they had any grounds, but if anything it would be tortious interference in business practice. As far as I know they haven't pursued it.

Update:

The Hinderer is back with the owner today.

The previous owner went with the file or grinder to the lock-bar / tang interface and ruined it. I happened to have a matching spare XM18 lock side that I used as replacement and we were lucky that it fit almost perfectly (both detent and tang interface) - I noticed only little lock stick left after putting the knife back together. I carried it for a day myself to break it in and - after a couple of hundred flicks - the residual lock stick disappeared as the tang wore in. Some pictures:
