Hello All,

I am looking for a sheath to replace the factory sheath that my Kabar came with. I would like one that has a pouch on it that would hold an Altoids tin or a multi-tool.

Does anyone have a sheath like this?

TIA

well, I assume you mean the 7" fighter model, so you could get an eagle sheath that would have come with a D2 Ka-bar fighter.

Oh, I forgot about the Darkopps sheath IF you really wanted A name. But they are kinda pricy

Isn't there a spec-ops sheath that Brigade sells? Not the Blackhawk or Eagle sheaths.

?????????? I received a D2 Extreme for Christmas and the sheath does not have a pouch on it. It is kydex for the part that holds the blade and 2" nylon webbing for the belt loop.

I am pretty sure you can get the sheath from Kabar and i believe it is an option not a standard with the D2

I found a Ka-Bar brand-name kydex sheath on Ebay for (if I remember right) $20 shipped. zip-stripped a GI 1st-aid pouch to it and carry all kinds of stuff in there. Just an idea.

Thanks for all of the help!
I like the looks of the survival sheath, will the pouch on it hold an Altoids tin?

The pouch stretches. I'm not sure about the regular Altoids tin, but the gum tin fits with about 15' of 550 cord, a DMT sharpeher and a large firesteel.

Get the SPEC-OPS,The big one that works with up to an 8 1/2 blade. For $30 bucks, you cant beat it. I love mine. The pouch wont hold an Altoids tin though. But a big assed Swiss Army Knife will fit.

I don't own any myself. But Normark is said to make some beauty kydex sheaths. He's pretty well known around the Busse forum if you're looking to see some of his work. Hope that helped.

Brian Wagner of Okuden Kydex. He makes extremely well-fitted sheaths known for their distinct snap the knife makes as it seats itself home. Brian goes by Oku here on Bladeforums. Great guy to work with, who happens to make great product.

If you want a taco-wrap style sheath, then I concur with the recommendation for Eric Noeldechen (Normark here on BFC) of On-Scene Tactical.
