Looking for a Shorter blade to carry.

So it looks as if the knife I carry is going to have to be shorter. Currently I carry a ZT 450 or a Rat Model 2. Depending on what I'm doing that day. Gong forwards the max blade will be 2.49in. So what's out there that I should look at. Preferably a flipper and fit in to the price range of the 2 mentioned above. So $30-140.

Thanks

Kizer Mini Sheepdog would be an easy one to trim (2.6" blade). Or take a look at the Kizer Lieb (already too short).
Personally, at that length, I don't want to be fumbling with flippers or liner locks - a Buck 503 (505, if the extra 0.01" bothers you) or a nice slipjoint would be my choice.

Yeah, I'll jump in and say the Scallion as well.... mine has a billion miles on it and it still going strong... still a joy to carry.

Real inexpensive but insanely practical is the KA-BAR Mini Dozier Folding Hunter. Thing disappears in your pocket, and is a breeze to maintain.

The Spyderco Dragonfly is a great piece. I myself like the VG-10 Blade and foliage green G10 handled model. Top of your price range, but totally worth it.

About half the price of that Dragonfly is the Spyderco Cat. Great steel, great handle, great company. And it has a liner lock instead of back lock... I prefer the liner lock myself.

Now I don't have one of these, but it's been in and out of my cart enough times that I'll probably pull the trigger and find one... The Boker Plus Stubby Kwaiken.

It has S35VN steel, carbon fiber and titanium handle, it's a ball bearing pivot flipper, and it's just plain (IMO) neat as hell. Maybe I'll click the buy button tonight.

Yes sorry I should not have said flipper. I guess I should have said one hand opening with a clip. I like the looks of the Boker and I like the steel in the Spyderco Dragonfly. Thanks for the replies.

Have both a Spyderco DragonFly and a Lil’ Native; both are excellent small knives. I lean towards the Lil’ Native since it is a bit larger and fills the hand better. Both are great knives.

Spyderco Dice my man, that's the most 2.5" of folder you can possibly get

I'm with AntDog AntDog on the Cadet, but this is also a strong choice.
It was my go to whenever I went into Chicago with their stupid 2.5" limit, until my ex wife lost it. With how bad Chicago is now, F their blade limit, I carry a Kershaw Launch 8 and a gun iwb and one in the car.

Another vote for the Dragonfly... but get one with K390 steel.
