I‘ve come to appreciate great slicers. I just sold off a large collection of high end knives getting ready to retirement and a mor frugal lifestyle. Can anyone recommend a knife that has 3.5”-4” blade, is supper slicey (hollow grind or thin blade/behind the edge) and that is under $100? I don’t care where it is made as long as it is good quality. Thanks in advavnce. shane

Civivi Shredder, thin cuts very well, locks up great, flips well, good size, light and only about sixty. I cut a lot of green overgrowth along hiking trails and I've used a lot of different knives. You can tell a difference in how much trouble you have with the task, between different blades. This knife excells. Gets very sharp easily and it's got rough texture for a good grip.

For an inexpensive sliver the Praxis with it's 3.75" blade is a good slicer, I have the damascus one and it still is under your budget.

You will laugh at my suggestion but, the blade is a great slicer even if other aspects of the knife suck...

SOG Flash 2.

Best folding steak knife I have ever found for under $50.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I think I am all set now. Woodysone reached out to me and hooked me up with a highly recommended knife for free. I can’t remember anyone doing something so nice for me. It will not be forgotten. Thank you Woodysone.
